Pediatric Clinical Assistant (MA or LPN)

Rise & Shine Orthopedics is a fast-growing, top-rated pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine practice dedicated entirely to caring for children and teens. We are seeking a highly motivated Pediatric Clinical Assistant to join our team. We are open to candidates with backgrounds as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

About the Role

This position plays a vital role in both patient care and overall clinic flow. The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.

Orthopedic experience is not required, but is a huge plus. We are happy to teach the specialty to someone who is highly motivated, coachable, and excited to grow within pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine.

An interest in athletics, youth sports, or sports medicine is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Rooming pediatric patients and obtaining histories
  • Prepping patient charts for the day while anticipating clinic flow and provider needs
  • Assisting with casting, splinting, brace fitting, and patient education
  • Preparing exam rooms and maintaining efficient clinic flow
  • Coordinating referrals, imaging orders, and clinical documentation
  • Coordinating advanced imaging and obtaining insurance authorizations
  • Communicating with families in a compassionate and professional manner
  • Helping create an outstanding patient experience from start to finish

Qualifications

  • MA certification or LPN licensure preferred
  • Pediatric clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Orthopedic or sports medicine experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills
  • Strong comfort with electronic medical records, detailed documentation, and fast-paced clinical workflow
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and efficiency in a busy specialty practice
