Pediatric Dentist

Job Purpose

The Pediatric Dentist (Pedodontist) will provide specialized dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring safe, ethical, and high-quality treatment in accordance with DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) regulations. The role focuses on preventive, restorative, and emergency pediatric dental care while maintaining a child-friendly clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care for infants, children, and adolescents
• Perform preventive procedures (fluoride application, fissure sealants, oral health education)
• Carry out restorative treatments (fillings, pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers)
• Manage pediatric dental trauma and emergency cases
• Apply appropriate behavior management techniques for anxious or special-needs children
• Educate parents on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive dental care
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with DOH policies and electronic medical record systems
• Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and patient safety standards
• Work collaboratively with orthodontists, pediatricians, anesthetists, and other specialists
• Participate in clinical audits, CME programs, and quality improvement initiatives

Mandatory Qualifications & Licensing

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent
• Master’s Degree / Specialty Certification in Pediatric Dentistry (Pedodontics)
• Valid DOH (Abu Dhabi) License as Pediatric Dentist / Pedodontist – MANDATORY
• Minimum 2–5 years of post-specialization clinical experience
• Experience in managing special-needs pediatric patients is an added advantage

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month
