Pediatric Home Care RN (Decatur)

7 year old female with G-tube, speech delay, and mild seizures at bedtime.
4 weeknights- 530/6pm - 930/10pm

$50/HOUR. 1099 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR.

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Care Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient assessment and senior care, with the ability to handle various medical situations. This role requires a dedicated professional who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for patients through personalized care and support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual care needs.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans based on patient evaluations.
• Provide skilled nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
• Assist with medical procedures such as spinal taps and CT imaging as needed.
• Collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices in home healthcare.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in senior care or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques.
• Ability to perform urgent care tasks effectively under pressure.
• Experience with neonatal ventilators is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple patient needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
