Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. Via Duties
- The Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess vital signs for pediatric patients across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration, injections, IV infusions, and wound suturing when necessary.
- Manage acute care situations such as respiratory distress, infections, injuries, and other urgent pediatric conditions with proficiency in airway management and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, behavioral health, and geriatrics to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education on topics such as nutrition, developmental milestones, medication usage, and injury prevention to empower families in caring for their children.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at advancing pediatric healthcare practices.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in pediatrics (PNP-AC or PNP-PC).
- Proven experience working with children in clinical settings such as hospitals, clinics, or assisted living facilities.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in performing procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and understanding of Workers’ Compensation law is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient/family education.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
