Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert consultation and care for children with pulmonary diseases, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, and other respiratory disorders.
Conduct thorough evaluations, including patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, therapy options, and ongoing patient education.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients with complex needs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in pediatric pulmonology and integrate best practices into clinical care.
Educate and guide patients’ families regarding care plans, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research within the pediatric pulmonology department.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology.
Valid state medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
Strong clinical knowledge in pediatric respiratory diseases, with experience in the management of chronic respiratory conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children and their families.
Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients.
Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred, but newly trained fellows are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology.
