A Pediatrician is a medical doctor who specializes in the health, growth, and development of infants, children, and adolescents. They diagnose, treat, and help prevent illnesses while providing guidance to families on child health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat children from birth through adolescence
- Monitor physical, emotional, and developmental growth
- Provide vaccinations and preventive care
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and safety
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow clinical guidelines
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)
- Completion of a pediatric residency program
- Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license or eligibility letter required
- Board certification in Pediatrics (
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Ongoing continuing medical education (CME)
