Peer Program Coordinator

The Enoch Pratt Library has an opening for a Special Projects/Program Coordinator to support the Peer Navigator Program. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Registered Peer Supervisor and Community Impact Manager to provide logistical and administrative support to each cohort of peer trainees.
This is a full-time, multi-year position supported by the Baltimore City Opioid Restitution Fund.

Summary of Duties:
  • Work with library staff and managers to place and schedule the Peer Navigator Workforce (peer trainees) according to the needs of library branches
  • Assist with the onboarding of new peer trainees
  • Support the daily activities of peer trainees across library locations
  • Serve as liaison between Peer Navigator Workforce and library staff
  • Communicate with program partners as needed: Maryland Peer Advisory Council and Healing City Baltimore
  • Travel to branch libraries when appropriate for site visits, meetings, training and support
  • Assist with the procurement, organization, and distribution of program supplies
  • Assist peer trainees with questions related to scheduling, documentation, time keeping, supplies, and more, and communicate any changes to library staff
  • Coordinate events including orientation, Fellow Day, Graduation, Narcan trainings, and more
  • Maintain program web page and marketing materials
  • Support data collection, organization, and reporting as it applies to the Opioid Restitution Fund grant
  • Monitor grant compliance to ensure all activities align with funding requirements and organizational obligations for the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Overdose Response (BCMOOR)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly grant reports
  • Work closely with Community Impact Manager to monitor program budget

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Education.
  • Two years of demonstrated, successful, and increasingly responsible planning and programs experience.
  • Experience with non-profits, community outreach, or public libraries.
  • Experience with MS Office and/or Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or familiarity with peer recovery and a desire to continue learning about peer recovery work.
  • Experience with grant reporting and monitoring, or similar report-driven work.
  • Experience working with diverse communities.
  • Experience in establishing collaborative relationships with library colleagues as well as a variety of municipal and non-profit agencies and organizations, especially those serving the needs of diverse individuals in an urban setting.

  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a larger team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to express oneself through verbal and written correspondence
