About the role

As a Pega Senior System Architect (SSA), you’ll lead the design and delivery of complex, enterprise-grade applications using the Pega Platform. Your deep expertise in Pega Smart Dispute Framework and enterprise architecture will be key to building scalable, high-quality solutions. You’ll mentor junior developers, collaborate across teams, and ensure our technical standards drive business success.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, and implement complex Pega business rules.

  • Mentor and lead junior Pega developers and system architects.

  • Define and enforce design standards, guardrails, and best practices for Pega development.

  • Collaborate with Business Architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

  • Oversee Pega Process Modeling to streamline and optimize workflows.

  • Monitor performance and scalability of Pega applications and proactively resolve issues.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Pega CSSA Certification
  • 8+ years in IT, including 6+ years of hands-on experience with Pega BPM platforms such as PRPC and Pega Infinity
  • Strong expertise in Pega Smart Dispute Framework
  • Proven experience integrating Pega with REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, JMS, databases, and external systems
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments
  • Demonstrated success in financial services environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills

These will help you stand out:

  • Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA)
  • Experience leading Pega solution design and delivery
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 – $150,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
