People Operations Intern - Pleasanton, CA

The People Operations Intern will perform a wide array of operational activities in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. The Intern will work in a team-based setting to gain exposure to all facets of the People Operations function and full employee life-cycle. The Intern will interface with senior and junior-level employees on engagement projects and other ad hoc assignments.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Support day-to-day employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, data changes, and offboarding by maintaining accurate employee records in HR systems and ensuring timely completion of transactions.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving People team workflows and documentation to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • Support People Operations with administrative tasks, data entry, and document upkeep.

Requirements:

  • Education: Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (human resources, organizational development, business administration, communications, sociology, psychology, etc.)
  • Work location: Pleasanton, CA

  • Understanding or aptitude in HR administration, including HRIS data entry, onboarding and offboarding coordination, benefits and payroll system, and handling confidential employee information in compliance with internal policies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and proactive about recognizing issues and finding viable solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours/day.
  • Compliance with relevant county, state, and Federal rules regarding vaccinations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint for building and maintaining internal intranet pages, document libraries, and HR knowledge resources.
  • Experience working in a customer service oriented/administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of v-lookups and other elevated Microsoft excel skills.

We also offer a compensation plan as follows:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $28/hr (undergrad) - $30.00/hr (graduate students)
