Job Title: People Strategy Manager

Location: Irving, TX & Houston, TX

Reports to: People Strategy Partner, Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

The Opportunity

The People Strategy Manager supports the People Strategy Partner in executing People strategies and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and organizational performance across Meriton's operating companies. This role is a highly visible, hands-on, tactical, and developmental position that requires strong interpersonal skills, a service mindset, and a commitment to being present in the workplace to foster relationships, support culture, and drive impact.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience from working closely with a senior People Leader, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making while developing the competencies needed for future leadership roles in People Strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the PSP to execute people initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations to support PSP-led leadership meetings.
  • Track progress and outcomes of strategic HR projects, escalating roadblocks to the PSP.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees for day-to-day HR questions, escalating complex issues to the PSP.
  • Assist with performance management, employee relations cases, and policy guidance under PSP direction.
  • Support new leaders' onboarding and development activities coordinated by the PSP.
  • Coordinate logistics for engagement surveys, talent reviews, and development programs.
  • Maintain tracking tools and dashboards to monitor program participation and results.
  • Support change management communications for people-related initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems, generating reports for the PSP and leadership.
  • Assist in compliance audits, documentation, maintain and update Employee Handbooks, and ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies.
  • Help plan and deliver culture-building events and recognition activities.
  • Gather employee feedback and prepare summaries for the PSP to inform action plans.
  • Promote inclusive and engaging workplace practices in partnership with the PSP.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-site environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exposure to talent management, employee engagement, and HR program coordination.

Work Environment

Primary location: On-site in operating company or Shared Services Office (in-office schedule with possible hybrid flexibility).

Travel up to 50% to operating company locations for events, training, or support.
