Job Title: People Strategy Manager
Location: Irving, TX & Houston, TX
Reports to: People Strategy Partner, Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
The People Strategy Manager supports the People Strategy Partner in executing People strategies and initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and organizational performance across Meriton's operating companies. This role is a highly visible, hands-on, tactical, and developmental position that requires strong interpersonal skills, a service mindset, and a commitment to being present in the workplace to foster relationships, support culture, and drive impact.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience from working closely with a senior People Leader, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making while developing the competencies needed for future leadership roles in People Strategy.

Primary location: On-site in operating company or Shared Services Office (in-office schedule with possible hybrid flexibility).
Travel up to 50% to operating company locations for events, training, or support.
This role is designed as a developmental step toward the People Strategy Partner position, providing direct mentorship, exposure to strategic decision-making, and increasing responsibility over time and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time, based on demonstrated performance and evolving business needs.

Owns and develops strategic people plans aligned with business goals.
Supports development of people plans; executes components under PSP guidance.
Leadership
Serves as senior advisor to executives; leads organizational change.
Advises managers on day-to-day HR matters; escalates complex issues.
Program Management
Designs, implements, and measures enterprise HR initiatives.
Coordinates and tracks execution of HR initiatives.
Talent Management
Leads talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development strategy.
Supports talent reviews and facilitates individual development plan tracking.
Employee Relations
Resolves high-level and complex employee relations matters.
Handles routine employee relations cases; escalates complex cases to PSP.
Data & Compliance
Analyzes metrics for strategic insights; ensures full compliance enterprise-wide.
Generates HR reports; supports compliance audits.
Culture & Engagement
Shapes and champions company culture initiatives.
Assists in planning culture-building events and programs.
