The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) is a nationally recognized human services organization and one of the largest providers of housing and supportive services in the country. CUCS is a leader in implementing evidence-based practices, sharing knowledge, and helping shape local, state, and national strategies that enable individuals experiencing homelessness, low income, mental illness, and other complex needs to live successfully in the community.
Times Square, centrally located in Midtown Manhattan at 255 West 43rd Street, is a 650-unit permanent supportive housing residence serving low-income tenants, many of whom have histories of homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and/or HIV/AIDS.
The Case Manager works collaboratively with program staff to support residents in maintaining housing stability and achieving greater independence in the community. Responsibilities include assisting clients with housing-related needs, supporting engagement in services, contributing to effective team and program operations, and helping the program meet contractual and performance obligations, including housing placement and retention goals. In all aspects of the role, the Case Manager is expected to uphold CUCS’s mission, core values, and vision.
The Per Diem Case Manager provides coverage during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts and does not carry an assigned caseload. Instead, this role is responsible for supporting the overall well-being of the full resident census by carrying out program activities, responding to resident needs, and providing direct support and crisis intervention as needed.
Per Diem Case Managers are expected to actively support the agency’s mission and contribute to the achievement of program goals and objectives.
