Position Summary
Penn OB/GYN and Midwifery Care (POMC) is seeking a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our collaborative team at Pennsylvania Hospital. This role supports care on the labor and delivery unit and obstetric triage, with a minimum commitment of 3–4 twelve-hour shifts per month.

POMC is a busy, team-based practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient population. Our midwives are deeply committed to advocacy, equity, and creating a supportive experience for patients and their families. Key Responsibilities

• • Provide comprehensive intrapartum care on the labor floor
  • Evaluate and manage patients in obstetric triage
  • Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care
  • Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum needs

• Schedule & Commitment

• • Per diem role
  • Minimum 3–4 shifts per month
  • 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Qualifications

• • Current (or eligible) Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
  • BLS certification (current)
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital-based midwifery experience
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting
