Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician (MD/DO) to support our medical practice in California. Our focus is on providing high-quality care to patients in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities, primarily serving elderly patients.

Position Details

• Per diem role: approximately 2–4 shifts per month
• Independent contractor (1099)
• Flexible scheduling based on clinical needs
• Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide medical evaluations and clinical oversight for patients in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities
• Review patient histories, diagnostic results, and clinical data to support appropriate care decisions
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
• Provide medical guidance related to chronic condition management and patient monitoring
• Support care planning and treatment recommendations as appropriate
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in care coordination and communication with facility staff and the care team
• Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational guidelines

Ideal Candidate

• Active MD or DO license in California
• Experience in post-acute care, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facilities (preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Experience with telehealth platforms or remote patient monitoring (preferred)
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care team

Compensation

This is a per diem independent contractor (1099) position.
