Per Diem nursing student for Adult with Special Needs – Music & Art Lover Wanted! Tewksbury

We’re seeking a kind, patient, and upbeat caregiver for a 54-year-old woman with Down syndrome and a speech disability. She has the heart and interests of a child—she loves music, coloring, cartoons, and spending time with her cat. This role involves personal care and companionship. Ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience who enjoys engaging in playful, creative activities and can communicate with empathy and patience. Must be comfortable with pets.

Shifts: Mondays 2pm-6pm, Wednesdays from 2 PM -6 PM or Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM
Requirements: Must speak English clearly and fluently

Your Role:

As a caregiver with Home Helpers, you’ll provide:

• Companionship and emotional support.

• Assistance with personal care (e.g., bathing, toileting).

• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.

• Transportation to appointments or errands.

• Non-medical support tailored to client needs.

• Professional communication with families and team members.
  
  What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in senior care, home care, or healthcare

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.

  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

  • A cellphone with internet access.

  • A current TB test.

  • Compassion, empathy, and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Must pass a background check.
