Performance Analyst (1010)

Overview

Job Purpose This full-time role focuses on delivering performance analysis services across a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports. The analyst will provide technical, tactical, and physical insights through systematic data collection, video analysis, and clear reporting. The role is designed to be multi-sport in nature, offering flexible analytical support across disciplines such as combat sports, athletics, winter sports, and other Olympic events.

Data Collection and Management

• Capture performance data from training and competitions using video, sensors, and other monitoring technologies.
• Organize and maintain datasets in line with SOPC data governance standards.
• Assist with video recording and performance data capture across Olympic and Paralympic sports.
• Support data entry, file management, and tagging for athlete performance databases.

Performance Analysis Delivery

• Conduct technical and tactical performance breakdowns tailored to each sport's demands.
• Identify key performance indicators in collaboration with sport-specific technical staff.
• Tag videos using structured templates under guidance of senior analysts.

Reporting and Visual Feedback

• Develop concise, visual reports to communicate insights to coaches and athletes.
• Support pre-competition reviews, post-event debriefs, and ongoing athlete development discussions.
• Help prepare videos and visuals for team meetings and debrief sessions.

Coach and Sport Collaboration

• Work closely with National Federations and coaches to ensure analysis is aligned with performance goals.
• Embed insights into training design, selection decisions, and tactical planning.
• Participate in cross-sport rotation to gain experience with different disciplines.
• Engage in mentorship and training sessions to build technical skills in tools and analysis techniques.

Technology and Innovation Support

• Contribute to the adoption and effective use of sport technologies (e.g., video tagging tools, wearable devices, AI tagging platforms).
• Share best practices across the analysis team to promote innovation
