Role Overview

The Performance Content Manager owns content that converts.

This role sits at the intersection of creative, paid media, and conversion optimization. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and scaling content across ads, landing pages, and product detail pages with one clear objective: Increase conversion efficiency and revenue per visitor.

This is not a brand-only role. Performance matters.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerformance Content Strategy

  • Own the end-to-end content performance lifecycle
  • Develop and test hooks, angles, messaging, and formats
  • Build repeatable systems for creative testing and iteration
  • Analyze performance data and translate insights into action

Paid Media & UGC Content

  • Create and manage UGC and performance-driven ad creatives
  • Partner closely with paid media buyers and agencies
  • Identify winning creatives and scale them across channels
  • Monitor creative fatigue and maintain creative velocity

Website & Conversion Optimization

  • Optimize PDPs, landing pages, and on-site content
  • Test headlines, product positioning, offers, and visuals
  • Improve conversion rate and revenue per session

Creator & Vendor Management

  • Source, brief, and manage creators and UGC partners
  • Maintain a content pipeline aligned to performance needs
  • Ensure deliverables meet both creative and performance standards

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)

  • Improved CTR and CVR
  • Lower cost per acquisition
  • Higher ROAS / MER from existing traffic
  • Faster creative testing velocity
  • Extended creative lifespan

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in performance marketing, content strategy, or UGC management
  • Proven experience driving measurable revenue impact with content
  • Strong understanding of paid social creative (Meta, TikTok, etc.)
  • Data-driven mindset with creative intuition
  • Experience working with Shopify brands preferred
  • Comfortable collaborating with agencies and internal teams

Nice to Have

  • CRO experience (A/B testing, PDP optimization)
  • Experience in physical products / DTC e-commerce
  • Video editing or creative direction background
  • Familiarity with attribution tools and ad reporting platforms

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $60,000 – $85,000(DOE)
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to efficiency and revenue metrics
