Role: Senior Performance Test Engineer

Job description

• Perform performance testing to identify system bottlenecks, assess responsiveness, and ensure application stability under different loads.
• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases, scripts, and test plans based on project requirements.
• Identify and report defects, issues, and risks clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, troubleshoot, and verify fixes for identified issues.
• Document test results, track defects, and maintain accurate testing records.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in web and performance testing.

Key Skills:

Performance Testing : Expertise in conducting performance, load, and stress testing for applications.

Defect Tracking & Reporting : Ability to identify, document, and report defects/issues clearly and effectively.

Test Case/Script Development : Proficiency in developing detailed test cases, scripts, and plans based on project needs.

Collaboration & Communication : Strong teamwork skills to work closely with development and QA teams.

Analytical Skills : Ability to analyse performance results, troubleshoot, and provide insights for improvement.

Documentation : Accurate documentation of test results and defect tracking.

Tools & Technologies:

Performance Testing Tools : JMeter, Neoload, loadrunner, Sitespeed.io, Apptim or other open-source performance testing tools.

Test Management : Experience with test case development and defect tracking tools.

Defect Tracking : Jira, Azure Devops, or similar tools.

Version Control Systems : Azure Devops, Git, Bitbucket, or similar tools.

Web Technologies : Understanding of web applications, HTTP protocols, APIs, and system architecture.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter,Neoload, loadrunner, Sitespeed.io, Apptim or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document findings clearly.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in web and performance testing.
