Performance Improvement Data Analyst - Clinical Performance Improvement

Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00a-5:00p

Summary:

Plays a key role in advancing a sustainable culture of continuous performance improvement across the MetroHealth System by integrating data analytics, Lean methodology, and change management practices. Partners with the Continuous Performance Improvement principals, clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support improvement initiatives through data analysis, reporting, workflow assessment, and performance measurement. Designs, develops, and maintains analytical datasets, reports, and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights to improve clinical, financial, and operational performance. Works independently with general direction and supports improvement teams from analysis through adoption and sustainment. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Business, Finance, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• In lieu of degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
• Demonstrated experience or working knowledge of performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
• Experience performing data analysis, reporting, and interpretation to support operational or improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and analytical tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, SAS, Tableau, or similar).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:

• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience working in a healthcare system or large, complex organization.
• Project management experience or certification.
• Experience supporting change management and adoption measurement.

Physical Demands:

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
• Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
• Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
