Perm - Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac

Shifts: Variable: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

On-Call: 1:5 rotation with first call every eighth night, no second call

Weekend Requirements: Same 1:5 call rotation

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries

Cases:Primarily cardiac and vascular (no OB or trauma)

Average cardiac cases: 6–8 per day

• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care for cardiac patients
• Contribute to development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices
• Provide compassionate care to a primarily adult and geriatric patient population (some pediatric cases)
• Practice Setting: High-volume inpatient heart center
• Operating Rooms: 30
• Supervision: No CRNA supervision required
• Reason for Opening: Addition of 3 new cardiac surgeons

Qualifications / Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) in Anesthesiology – Required
• ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (must be completed prior to start) – Required
• Cardiac Fellowship-Trained – Highly Preferred
• NY Medical License (or willingness to obtain) – Required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications by start date – Required

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Compensation: $650,000/year
• Additional: Productivity bonuses, quality incentives, extra shift pay
• Sign-On Bonus: $100,000
• Relocation Allowance: Reimbursement-based (amount depends on distance moved)
