Permits Coordinator (Full Time) – Daphne, AL

Apply for, track and maintain all permits required for new community start-ups, as well as the building permits on all houses under signed contract.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Request and track all plot plans, engineered plans and other required items per municipality requirements.
  • Request and track permit applications on a daily basis .
  • Communicate effectively with local city governments, permit runners and inter-office departments to ensure timely receipt of permits.
  • Establish and maintain good builder relations with all permitting offices.
  • Distribute new municipality and utilities information regarding fee increases or changes in procedures to the Production Admin. Manager.
  • Interpret permitting issues that arise, and implement actions in a timely manner
  • Manage all slab and permit start emails to alert all key personnel of any issues that arise (swing changes, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Production Mangers.


Job Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential construction environment, preferably in the permits department.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be a self-starter and detail oriented.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
