Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including pediatrics, senior care, and urgent care environments. The Nursing Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to medical protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide support in emergency situations by following established protocols for urgent care and emergency medicine.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during patient care procedures.
• Assist nursing staff with patient mobility, including lifting and transferring patients safely.
• Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship during their recovery process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care in ICU settings as needed.

Requirements

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus.
• Experience in pediatrics or senior care is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting patients and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and emergency medicine protocols is beneficial.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
