Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings promptly to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
• Support clients with mobility challenges using proper techniques to ensure safety during transfers and movement.
• Follow HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes; experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory care is highly valued.
• Certification or training in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or hospice care are advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs.
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or health deterioration.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON>.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and providing clear documentation of care activities.
