Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their homes or community settings. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition, reporting findings accurately
- Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain a clean, safe environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and organization tasks
- Support clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities by providing specialized memory or behavioral care
- Document care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans
- Engage in patient monitoring during home health visits or community outings to ensure safety at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize urgent health concerns
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental challenges, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a plus for community-based support roles
