Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with medication administration following care plans.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
  • Support clients during outings or community activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
  • Follow established care plans meticulously while documenting observations, progress notes, and any incidents or concerns.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, or nursing assistant credentials are advantageous.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder or in hospice care is desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs.
  • Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach toward clients’ needs.
