Personal Assistant / Direct Support Professional (Part-Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Personal Assistant to support a friendly and engaging adult with developmental disabilities. This role focuses on community engagement, daily living support, and companionship.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, is patient and attentive, and values helping others live full, connected lives.

Key Responsibilities

Support participation in community activities such as:

Shopping, errands, and outings
Visiting friends and family
Walks and local events

Provide light daily living support:

Prompting for grooming and hygiene routines
Ensuring overall safety and well-being

Assist with simple meal preparation (primarily lunch)

Provide companionship through shared activities (e.g., watching movies, conversation)

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Experience in caregiving, human services, or a related field preferred
Willingness to complete CPR and First Aid training (provided)

Compensation & Benefits

$25 per hour
Use of a vehicle while working
