Personal Care Assistant-Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in assisted living and senior care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the resident through attentive caregiving and a deep understanding of resident rights. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of personal care and assistance.

Duties

• Assist resident with daily living activities, including dusting & vacuuming, general housework, laundry, sorting and organizing, meal preparation and occasional errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance resident's well-being.
• Monitor patients' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Help with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transfers and activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for resident, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.

Skills

• Experience in assisted living or senior care settings is preferred or helping assist a family member with some of these tasks.
• Strong skills in patient monitoring and caregiving techniques.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures is highly beneficial.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the resident and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
