Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. In this role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and safety, and promote their independence and well-being. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas and laundry
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to enhance clients’ quality of life
• Follow established care plans under supervision, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures

Skills

• Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
• Strong knowledge of patient observation, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice support
• Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or other special needs
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
• Certifications in CPR and first aid are highly preferred; prior experience with medication administration is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while following detailed care plans in a compassionate manner
