Personal Injury Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and possess a comprehensive understanding of various legal disciplines including litigation, legal research, and drafting. This role offers an opportunity to represent clients effectively while working in a collaborative and professional environment. Candidates should demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, legal research proficiency, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception to resolution.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury claims, including car accidents, slip and falls, and workplace injuries
  • Conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw and other legal databases
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and potential remedies under personal injury law
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management
  • Stay updated on changes in personal injury law as well as related fields such as estate planning, environmental law, workers' compensation law, family law, and others as needed
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal standards and deadlines

Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the State of Georgia
  • Proven experience practicing personal injury law with a track record of successful case resolutions
  • Familiarity with a broad range of legal areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and litigation is preferred
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and administrative tasks within a law office setting
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients during settlement negotiations or court proceedings
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
