Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims, ensuring all documentation and deadlines are met efficiently.
- Conduct client interviews to gather detailed case information and maintain consistent communication throughout the legal process.
- Review medical records, insurance policies, and legal documents to support case development.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, settlement agreements, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Utilize legal case management systems such as PCLaw, iManage, and document management systems to organize case files effectively.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and other applicable statutes.
- Assist in trial preparation by reviewing evidence, drafting reports, and coordinating witness interviews.
- Maintain organized records of all case activities, correspondence, and documentation for audit readiness.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, proofreading documents, and managing phone etiquette to ensure smooth office operations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of personal injury law along with familiarity in related areas such as workers' compensation law and legal research tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Effective interviewing skills to gather comprehensive client information accurately.
- Proficiency in legal administrative experience including document review, drafting contracts or settlement agreements, and proofreading legal documents.
- Experience with legal case management software such as PCLaw or iManage; familiarity with document management systems is a plus.
- Strong research skills using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case development and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting clear reports and correspondence.
- Attention to detail in proofreading documents and transcriptions for accuracy.
- Ability to handle clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records efficiently.
