About the Role

Colony Law is a rapidly growing boutique personal injury firm seeking a Personal Injury Case Manager with a strong pre-litigation foundation who is looking to grow into a more senior role. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who can manage cases day-to-day while collaborating closely with attorneys and specialized internal departments.

You will oversee personal injury matters from intake through resolution, serving as a primary point of contact for clients and helping ensure cases progress efficiently and professionally.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage pre-litigation personal injury cases from intake through settlement
• Confirm insurance coverage and evaluate liability
• Coordinate and monitor client medical treatment and appointments
• Handle property damage claims
• Maintain regular communication with clients, attorneys, and insurance adjusters
• Provide timely case updates and ensure a high level of client service
• Maintain accurate case documentation and track deadlines
• Ensure cases progress efficiently through each stage of pre-litigation

Knowledge & Collaboration

• Working knowledge of demand preparation and settlement processes
• Strong understanding of medical liens, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, statutory, and contractual liens
• Coordinate effectively with dedicated demand and lien reduction departments as cases progress
• Assist attorneys in identifying cases that may be appropriate for litigation

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of personal injury case management experience (pre-litigation)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and cloud-based document platforms (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive)
• Experience using Filevine personal injury case management software
• Reliable, professional, and client-focused

Preferred / Growth Indicators:

• 5+ years of experience, with compensation at the higher end of the range based on experience and qualifications
• Exposure to demand writing and settlement negotiations
• Experience working on higher-value personal injury matters
• Familiarity with additional legal technology or case management tools
• Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus)
