Legal Assistant – Personal Injury Law Firm (California) – No Experience Necessary, Will Train

We are a growing Personal Injury Law Firm in California dedicated to helping injured individuals navigate the legal process with care and expertise. We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team.

No prior legal experience is necessary—we are willing to train the right candidate.

This role provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in personal injury law, assisting our pre-litigation team. Over time, we will help transition you into a specialized full-time position that best matches your strengths and interests.

Job Responsibilities:

Pre-Litigation Support:

• Assist with case management, maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and organizing documentation
• Help with opening and managing insurance claims, sending letters of representation, and following up with adjusters
• Schedule doctor appointments, track client treatment progress, and request medical records and bills
• Learn to communicate with medical providers, health insurance companies, and government agencies (Medicare, Medi-Cal) to negotiate and reduce liens
• Sort and distribute incoming mail to ensure timely responses
• Assist with calendar management, including scheduling deadlines, hearings, depositions, and medical evaluations

Qualifications & Skills:

• No prior legal experience required—willing to train
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive client information professionally
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
