Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting personal injury litigation cases from inception through resolution. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and managing personal injury cases, including case intake, document collection, and filing
- Conduct legal research related to personal injury law and stay updated on relevant statutes and case law
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather case information and build strong case strategies
- Review medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documentation for accuracy and relevance
- Manage case files using legal case management systems and document review platforms like iManage or Westlaw
- Coordinate with insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties involved in the claims process
- Maintain organized calendars for court deadlines, depositions, and hearings to ensure timely filings
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and contract review
- Uphold high standards of confidentiality while handling sensitive client information with professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience as a paralegal with a focus on personal injury law or related fields such as workers' compensation or litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Familiarity with legal administrative software such as PCLaw, iManage, or document management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Effective interviewing skills to gather comprehensive client and witness statements
- Proficiency in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and document review processes
- Ability to handle complex case management tasks involving contracts, data entry, filing, and document review
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills for client interaction
- Knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, family law, immigration law or landlord-tenant law is a plus but not required
- Strong research capabilities in legal databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Experience providing executive administrative support or general clerical support within a law office setting

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
