Overview
We are seeking an experienced bi-lingual (English-Spanish) Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal injury/litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, be responsive, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional support to our attorneys throughout the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for pre-litigation cases and litigation, hearings, and meetings by conducting legal research and drafting necessary documents.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Review and summarize legal documents and case files for attorney review.
- Communication with insurance companies and medical providers.
- Support various areas of law including not required but prefered, family law, estate planning, immigration law.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience in a litigation environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Familiarity with legal case management processes and document review procedures.
- Excellent writing skills with proficiency in legal drafting and proofreading.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in project management within a legal context is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
