POSITION MISSION: Effectively and efficiently investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle Personal Lines auto physical damage and liability claims.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Affirms or denies coverage of the claim based on the facts and the policy terms and conditions

Determines liability based on claim investigation and jurisdiction

Adequate reporting and documentation of all reserve and claim information on a timely basis to allow for proper tracking, statistical analysis and review
-
Investigates and evaluates bodily injury claims
-
Pursues subrogation and/or arbitration when applicable
-
Utilizes knowledge of auto physical damage and bodily injury claims in evaluating and settling claims
-
Negotiates with claimants, carriers, and attorneys to reach fair and equitable settlements
-
Comply with all regulatory and reporting requirements including fair claims practices act and relevant laws
-
Provide superior customer service to policyholders, agents, and co-workers
OTHER DUTIES:

Identify and respond to all emerging issues impacting company in the area of claim adjustment and loss control

Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Minimum 2 years of experience handling auto liability claims required

Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills

Working knowledge and effective utilization of automated technology

AIC designation preferred
