Position: Stay-in Personal Chef (full-time, live-in)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Start Date: Immediately
Reporting to: The household (family)
Accommodation & Visa: Employer will provide live-in accommodation, UAE employment visa
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) for the household, aligned with the family’s preferences, dietary requirements and schedule.
- Special focus on Turkish cuisine, Mediterranean cuisine and international dishes; ability to adapt menus accordingly.
- Collaborate with the family on weekly or monthly menu planning, taking into account nutrition, allergies/intolerances, children’s meals, entertaining guests.
- Shop for or source high-quality, fresh ingredients (local markets, suppliers) and manage pantry/kitchen stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, hygienic kitchen environment: food safety, hygiene standards, storage, kitchen equipment maintenance.
- Offer flexibility to cook for occasions (private dinners, guest entertaining) as needed.
- Work closely and discreetly with household team and respect household routines, confidentiality and privacy.
- Live-in role: reside in accommodation provided, be available as per agreed schedule: 6 days work, 1 day off
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, good communication with the family, high standards of presentation and culinary quality.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years professional chef experience, including at least 2 years in Dubai or UAE household/private-chef environment (or similar high-end hospitality/private-household environment).
- Demonstrable experience cooking Turkish cuisine, Mediterranean cuisine, and varied international dishes.
- Proven ability to design menus, adapt to dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc).
- Strong kitchen management skills (ingredient sourcing, inventory, hygiene, food safety certification preferred).
- Live-in household experience preferred (i.e., comfortable residing in employer accommodation).
- Excellent references from previous private-household or luxury-hospitality roles.
- Good English communication skills.
- Discreet, reliable, flexible, respectful of household privacy.
- Valid UAE driver’s licence is a plus (or ability to source transport/shopping).
- Willingness to sometimes accommodate guest dinners or occasional entertaining.
