Salary Range:

$37,782.00 - $66,120.00

Reporting to the Administrative Officer(s) at a multi-level custody female prison. The Administrative Specialist I (Job Class Title) will perform specific human resource duties which include time entry/payroll, onboarding, and leave administration.

  • Maintain and process time entries, benefits, worker’s comp, ADA claims, time and leave administrator, and others as assigned
  • Always follow prison policy and procedures. Work environment involves some contact with offenders
  • Assist with onboarding processes and coordinating and facilitating interviews. Process candidates for hire
  • Assist with vacancy reports and request to post tracking. Maintain confidentiality when performing work and/or resolving personnel issues.
  • Use a computer to perform personnel assignments along with filing, clerical duties, and operating office equipment.
  • Prioritizing work to meet scheduled deadlines with specific duties
  • Demonstrate flexibility with non-routine task are assigned. Providing excellent communication skills in verbal and written form.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with https://oshr.nc.gov/state-employee-resources/benefits . The selected candidate will work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. Hours may vary at times depending on the business needs of the facility.
