Personnel Security Administrator

What Impact You'll Have

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Personnel Security Administrator to support our security operations program. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in personnel security who is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with federal security regulations while delivering high-quality experience to employees, candidates, and stakeholders.

What You'll be Owning

  • Process and manage personnel security actions including background investigations, reinvestigations, and clearance verifications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security records in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Support onboarding and offboarding security requirements for employees and contractors
  • Assist with adjudication tracking and follow-up actions
  • Provide guidance to employees on security processes, requirements, and expectations
  • Ensure compliance with 32 CFR 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual – NISPOM)
  • Respond to internal and external security inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Partner with HR, recruiting, and program teams to ensure a seamless employee experience
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews

What You Must Have

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearace
  • 1–2 years of experience in personnel security, security administration, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Customer service mindset with strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

What Would be Nice to Have

  • Current Secret or Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience supporting government or defense contracting environments
  • Familiarity with security systems such as DISS, NBIS, or similar platforms
  • Basic understanding of clearance processes (Secret, Top Secret, etc.)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
