The Pest Control Officer is responsible for carrying out pest control operations and ensuring that all buildings and facilities under management remain pest-free. The role involves conducting inspections, implementing pest prevention programs, and ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of client premises to identify pest infestations or potential risks.
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments (chemical, mechanical, or biological) as per company standards and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of pest control activities, chemicals used, and service schedules.
- Advise management and clients on preventive measures and best practices for pest prevention.
- Monitor the effectiveness of pest control treatments and recommend follow-up actions.
- Ensure all pest control operations comply with Qatar’s health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Handle pest control equipment and chemicals safely and maintain them in good working condition.
- Coordinate with the Facility Management team to schedule pest control activities without disrupting client operations.
- Respond promptly to emergency pest control requests.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated with new pest control techniques and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Environmental Health, Pest Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pest control services, preferably within a facility management or building maintenance company in Qatar.
- Valid Pest Control License/Certificate from an approved authority in Qatar (preferred).
- Knowledge of pest biology, control methods, and safe chemical handling procedures.
- Familiar with Qatar Municipality and Health Department regulations.
- Valid Qatar driving license (advantage).
