Pet Care Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for pets in a home environment. This role involves ensuring the well-being of pets while their owners are away, offering services that may include feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship. The Pet Sitter will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and happiness of our furry clients.

Duties

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for all animals under your care.
• Engage in playtime and exercise to promote physical activity and mental stimulation.
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to pet owners promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of pet care routines and any special instructions from owners.
• Offer basic grooming services such as brushing or bathing when required.
• Handle pets with care, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable.
• Background in veterinary assistance or veterinary technician roles is a plus.
• Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and practices is beneficial.
• Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care settings such as kennels is preferred.
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely manage various breeds and temperaments.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large dogs or carrying supplies.

Huntersville, Mooresville, Concord and surrounding areas.
