Pet Care Associate

Do you like spending time with animals? Do you like spending time outside? Do you live in or around McKinney? If so, you might want to join our team as a pet care associate!

The main aspect of your job will be to drive to clients homes and provide high quality & loving care to clients pets while they are away. This includes - but is not limited to - scooping up pet waste, going on walks, playing outside to burn off energy, feeding, giving medications, locking up behind you and updating the client in our software.

Other aspects of the position could include running a pooper scooper route (with a company provided vehicle), organizing and cleaning the warehouse, cleaning the grooming vans, passing out marketing materials, and other small tasks.

HOW IT WORKS:

• Our employees are not independent contractors, so your taxes are automatically withheld.
• Each employee is trained one-on-one by the owner and office manager, and training hours are paid.
• You will have a company truck to use during work hours for pooper scooper runs.
• When you have pet visits or any other tasks you may use the company truck (if available) or your personal vehicle.

COMPENSATION:

• Your pay is commission for the services you provide and for any administrative tasks.
• Commission is 33% for pet sitting services & 45% for pooper scooper services. You will receive a flat-fee for any administrative tasks. These rates & fee's would make your pay $14 - $17 per hour depending on the task you are performing.
• When you use your personal vehicle for pet sitting, we also reimburse your non-commute mileage at $0.30/mile.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Live in the McKinney, Allen, Frisco, or Prosper area (preferred).
• Able to work at least two of the following time frames: 7am - 9am, 10am -2pm, 6pm -8pm
• You are 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and can provide proof of insurance.
• You must be able to pass a thorough 50-state background investigation and have a clean record (no felonies, no misdemeanors).
• You can provide three references who can speak to your character and professionalism.
• You are good with grammar, spelling, text composition and photo captioning.
• You are able to work outside, regardless of weather extremes.
• You are willing to work around animals, mainly dogs.
• You are willing to clean up every possible kind of pet mess.
• You are conscientious, detail-oriented, and able to follow a checklist every time.
• You are a person who strives for excellence and continuous improvement.
