Pet Care Operations Support – Grooming & Social (W-2 After Onboarding)

Position Summary

The Pet Care Operations Support – Grooming & Social role is a hybrid, hands-on position designed for individuals who enjoy working directly with dogs while also supporting social engagement, client communication, and light operational tasks. This position plays a key role in supporting daily mobile grooming operations and representing the Bubbles & Beyond brand both in-person and online.

This role is not a groomer position and not a full-time marketing or influencer role. It is an entry-to-intermediate support role with clear expectations, structured onboarding, and opportunities for growth.

Employment Classification

  • Introductory Period: Minimum 30-day onboarding and training period
  • Employment Status After Onboarding: W-2 Employee
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Varies based on operational needs (van days, admin/support days)

Compensation

  • $18–$21 per hour, based on experience
  • Performance-based raises may be considered after the onboarding period
  • Opportunity for expanded responsibilities and advancement over time

Core Responsibilities

Grooming & Pet Care Support

  • Assist groomers in the mobile grooming van with bathing, drying, preparation, and cleanup
  • Handle dogs safely, calmly, and compassionately at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools, equipment, and van workspace
  • Assist with daily van setup, breakdown, and supply management

Social & Client Engagement Support

  • Capture photos and short videos of pets, grooms, and behind-the-scenes operations
  • Assist with posting and engagement on approved social media platforms
  • Respond professionally to comments and messages within established guidelines
  • Support brand and client storytelling that highlights services, safety, professionalism, and pet care expertise

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist with scheduling, client communication, and CRM updates
  • Support inventory tracking, supply restocking, and organization
  • Assist with general operational tasks as assigned to support business efficiency

Behavioral & Professional Expectations

  • Maintain punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
  • Communicate respectfully with clients, team members, and leadership
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and procedures
  • Represent the Bubbles & Beyond brand professionally at all times

Qualifications

Required:

  • Comfort handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments
  • Ability to follow structured processes and instructions
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Comfort appearing in photos or videos for company use

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Prior experience as a dog bather, kennel assistant, or daycare attendant
  • Basic familiarity with social media platforms or content creation

Role Scope & Clarifications

This position is not:

  • A groomer or stylist role
  • A full-time marketing or influencer position
  • A desk-only administrative role

When not actively assisting with grooming, team members are expected to support administrative, operational, or organizational tasks. There is no designated downtime.

Acknowledgment

This role description outlines the general duties and expectations of the Grooming Assistant & Brand Ambassador position. Duties may evolve based on business needs. Employment remains at-will in accordance with applicable law.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
