You will be assigned clients within approximately a 15-minute drive radius from your home. We are currently specifically hiring within these service areas of Summerville

• Wescott / Ladson
• Cane Bay
• Carnes Crossroads

Schedule & Availability Requirements (Important)

Applicants must have consistent availability within one or both of the following windows:

• Morning shift: 7:00am–2:00pm
• Afternoon/Evening shift: 1:00pm–8:30pm

Additional requirements:

• Availability 4-5 weekdays per week within your chosen shift
• Availability for 2 weekends per month (scheduled in advance)
• Most services occur midday walks during the work week and pet sitting during weekends and vacations

Schedules are structured and predictable based on your confirmed availability.

We are growing and looking for dependable, experienced, and professional Pet Care Specialists who want consistent, long-term part-time work (ideal candidates typically stay 18 months–3 years).

This position is a great fit for someone who:

• Has hands-on experience with animals (professional, volunteer, veterinary, rescue, training, or long-term ownership)
• Wants consistent weekly work, not occasional gig-based jobs
• Is comfortable working independently and entering clients’ homes
• Values professionalism, reliability, and clear communication
• Enjoys building long-term relationships with pets and clients

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, compassionate care including feeding, fresh water, medications, potty breaks, and exercise
• Safely walk dogs of various breeds, sizes, and energy levels
• Monitor pet health and behavior and report concerns promptly
• Clean pet-related messes as needed (potty accidents, vomit, food areas, etc.)
• Complete detailed, professional visit reports for clients
• Take clear, high-quality photos to send with visit updates
• Use proper animal handling techniques to keep pets and yourself safe
• Communicate clearly with management and clients using company technology
• Respect client homes, privacy, and property at all times

What to Expect on the Job

• Walking dogs rain or shine, while assessing safety risks (heat, pavement temperature, weather conditions)
• Working with pets that may bark, jump, pull, feel anxious, or need time to build trust
• Maintaining calm, confident control so pets feel safe and relaxed
• Occasional lifting (pet food, packages, supplies)

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience with animals is strongly preferred
• Ability to read animal body language and adjust handling accordingly
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and time-management skills
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Comfort using smartphone apps and technology
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
