The Role

We are hiring part-time Pet Care Team Members to provide exceptional care for dogs and cats in clients’ homes. Hours are based on client demand, and we are currently seeking candidates with the following availability:

• Morning to midday shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Our service hours run 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily. Early morning and mid-day flexibility is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct dog walks ranging from 20 to 60 minutes
• Perform drop-in visits including feeding, playtime, and enrichment
• Provide overnight and house-sitting care when assigned
• Administer medications as directed by clients
• Clean accidents and maintain tidy environments
• Refresh water and scoop litter boxes as needed
• Send detailed visit reports and photos through our mobile app
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and management
• Attend required training sessions and follow company care protocols
• Represent Sit, Stay & Wait professionally in clients’ homes and neighborhoods

Ideal Background

We welcome candidates from a range of animal care backgrounds. Those with the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:

• Veterinary technicians or veterinary hospital staff
• Kennel assistants or shelter/rescue workers
• Dog trainers (formal certification not required)
• Experienced pet sitters or dog walkers
• Anyone with structured, hands-on animal care experience

Requirements

• Hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats
• Comfortable working with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Experience with senior pets or those with medical or behavioral needs is a plus
• Punctual, reliable, and accountable — you show up when scheduled
• Able to walk briskly for up to 60 minutes and lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to climb at least three flights of stairs
• Reliable personal transportation
• Smartphone required (TracFones are not compatible with our systems)
• Comfortable using scheduling apps and digital communication tools
• Able to work independently while following company protocols
• Calm and professional when unexpected situations arise
