Duties

• Provide daily pet care including feeding, walking, administering medication, and cleaning up after animals.
• Monitor pets’ health and behavior, alerting owners or veterinary professionals if any concerns arise.
• Engage pets with play, exercise, and companionship to promote mental and physical well-being.
• Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, vet visits, or medication administration.
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, health status, and special instructions for owners.
• Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, or trimming fur when needed.
• Ensure the safety of animals by following proper handling techniques and adhering to facility protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet sitting, animal handling, or kennel work is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus.
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs, cats, and other small animals confidently.
• Experience with veterinary assistance or veterinary technician work is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
