About the Role

PetWise Professionals is a professional, insured, standards-driven pet care company. Our PetWise Pros provide in-home pet care while clients are away — everything from dog walks and cat care to farm animals, exotics, and yes… the occasional horse side-eye.

This is real work, not hanging out with puppies all day (though there are puppies). You’ll be following established SOPs, caring for pets as if they were your own, building bonds, and representing a company that takes trust very seriously.

The Schedule (read this carefully)

This is part-time, variable-hour work — perfect for someone who needs flexibility but understands that pets don’t follow a 9–5 schedule.

• Hours vary week to week
• Schedule is provided weekly
• Weekend and holiday availability is REQUIRED (vacation pet care = busy holidays)
• Early mornings and evenings are common
• Some weeks are lighter, some are full — consistency grows over time

If you’re looking for guaranteed full-time hours or a set schedule, this will not be a good fit.

The Work (also important!)

You will be:

• Driving between client homes (reliable vehicle + insurance required)
• Working independently and outdoors in all weather
• Following written care instructions and company SOPs
• Communicating clearly with clients and management
• Handling dogs, cats, and occasionally farm or equine animals

BIG bonus points if you’re farm savvy or comfortable around horses, livestock, or barn environments.

This job requires:

• Physical ability (walking, lifting, bending, weather exposure)
• Smartphone savviness
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfort entering client homes independently
• Professionalism — even when no one is watching
