Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

Bella's Clubhouse is seeking Per Diem/On Call positions only. Candidates must apply through Indeed to be considered. Working with us will allow you to enhance your pet care skills and work with many different breeds of dogs and cats. Our members are mostly dogs ranging anywhere between 5-120lbs and the ideal candidate should be able to accommodate most, but preferably all, sizes. Bella's Clubhouse prides itself on providing a unique and comfortable experience while focusing on client satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

• Travel to client homes to walk dog(s) and/or care for pets
• Feed, exercise and play with pets
• Report details of visit and provide updates to management and clients including sending picture/video updates
• Manage client needs and preferences accurately and efficiently
• Provide additional house care as requested while owners are away and ensure the home is left in the same condition as prior to the visit
• Transport pets to and from veterinary clinic, dog park, grooming, etc. as needed
• Curbing pets during bathroom breaks and walks
• Follow the provided routines/schedules for maximum comfortability of pets during visits

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have reliable transportation
• 21+
• Past/Present pet ownership (preferred)
• 2+ years experience in pet care (preferred)
• Knowledge and experience in animal safety including use of pet harnesses, dog and cat behavior, and basic leash training
• Must be willing to travel to Glen Cove, Oyster Bay, Bayville, Locust Valley, Port Washington, Little Neck, Garden City, Huntington, and surrounding areas
• Must be comfortable walking dogs 70+lbs
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Strong communication skills
• Prior experience providing oral medications when needed (some of our members need to take tablets/capsules multiple times a day)
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time (*terrain may vary)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
