Overnight Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers (Part-Time / As-Needed)

Furbabies RVA is seeking dependable Overnight Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers to serve the Midlothian, Virginia area. This is a part-time, as-needed position intended as supplemental income.

Ideal candidates are organized, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure while providing compassionate, reliable care to our clients’ pets. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for animals are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive care for pets during walks and overnight stays
• Remain organized, solve problems independently, and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Follow detailed written and verbal care instructions
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and the Furbabies RVA team

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience working with animals preferred
• Pet First Aid & CPR certification preferred
• Ability to successfully complete a background check
• Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance required
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Availability to work some holidays
• Smartphone with unlimited data and a high-quality camera
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time (dog walkers)
• Dog walkers must be available a minimum of 10 hours per week between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Candidates with at least 6 hours of midday availability plus morning and/or evening availability may be considered

• Overnight sitters must be comfortable staying overnight in clients’ homes
• Ability to climb stairs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
