Ideal Candidate

Team members should demonstrate:

• Strong reliability and punctuality
• Good time management and organization
• Comfort working independently
• Basic understanding of animal behavior and body language
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfort using smartphone applications
• Prompt communication with the office team
• Prior animal care experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Traveling to client homes to provide pet care (clients are typically within a 7-mile radius of your home)
• Providing dog walks, yard time, playtime, and companionship
• Cleaning food bowls, feeding areas, and litter boxes
• Administering medications when instructed (pills, liquid, topical, or sub-cutaneous injections — training provided)
• Completing visit reports using the company mobile app
• Performing light home care tasks such as mail collection, trash bin placement, and light rotation

Scheduling Expectations

Pet care schedules follow client needs and may include:

• Morning visits: 5am–8am
• Midday visits: 10am–3pm
• Evening visits: 4pm–9pm
• Overnight pet sitting: 8pm–6am (sleep time expected)

Typical schedules average 20–30 hours per week, with increased hours during travel seasons and holidays.

Team members should expect to:

• Work 2–3 weekends per month
• Be available for 2–3 holidays per year
• Support higher demand periods during major travel weeks

Reliability Requirement

Because pets depend on consistent care, reliability is essential. Team members must maintain dependable transportation, communicate promptly, and arrive on time for scheduled visits.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
