Petrel Developer

Our client in Saudi Arabia requires a Petrel Developer to join their team for an upcoming long term project. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between geoscience and software development, creating customized solutions within Petrel to enhance geological modeling, reservoir characterization, and data integration workflows.

Develop, customize, and maintain plugins and workflows within Petrel (Ocean Framework)

Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers to translate subsurface requirements into technical solutions

Design and implement automation tools for geological modeling, data QC, and interpretation workflows

Integrate Petrel with other subsurface and enterprise systems

Support users by troubleshooting Petrel-related issues and optimizing performance

Contribute to digital transformation initiatives within subsurface teams

Maintain documentation for developed tools and workflows

Ensure compliance with company standards and data management policies
