We are looking for petrol engine mechanic who inspects, maintains, and repairs petrol engines and associated vehicle systems by diagnosing faults using diagnostic tools, performing routine maintenance like oil changes, and replacing worn parts such as brake pads and engine components. This role requires understanding mechanical and electronic systems, using technical manuals, and ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant with regulations, and functioning efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment and manual testing to identify issues in engines and other vehicle systems. Engine and Part Repair:Dismantle, repair, or replace worn or defective parts of engines, transmissions, steering systems, and brakes. Preventive Maintenance:Conduct scheduled maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and brake service, to ensure optimal performance. System Overhauls:Perform comprehensive overhauls on engine components, transmissions, cooling systems, and fuel systems.

Testing and Adjustment:Test vehicle performance after repairs and make necessary adjustments to ensure they meet specifications. Electronic System

Work:Service and repair electronic components, sensors, generators, and starters, as vehicles increasingly rely on integrated electronics.

Record Keeping:Maintain detailed service records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.

Road Testing:Perform test drives to verify that repairs are successful and to identify any operational defects. Required Skills and

Qualifications & Technical Knowledge:

A strong understanding of mechanical systems, including internal combustion engines, and emerging electronic systems.

Diagnostic Skills:

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify vehicle faults. Hands-on Experience: Ability to perform complex repairs, including engine overhauls, parts replacement, and component assembly. Problem-Solving:Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues and find effective solutions. Communication:Ability to explain mechanical problems and repair procedures clearly to clients. Manual Dexterity:Physical capability to work in various positions, such as bending, stooping, and reaching, and to lift heavy parts. Basic Tools:Familiarity with using tools such as micrometers, cylinder gauges, and other precision measuring and repair instrument.
